House insurance isn't as simple as it sounds, and before you buy a home be sure to include a checklist of things to check out before you commit, as the costs of insurance could be high if there are things you didn't think of in the process. For example, what types of materials is the house made of, what's the condition of its roof? Things like electrical, heating and plumbing play major factors as well, and all of that determines the cost of the insurance premium you will pay. Look for these things and find out what it would cost you with an insurance company before making your decision, as it could raise your monthly costs significantly beyond your expectations.
