Companies raise capital in a number of ways. Other than financing through their own revenue generated by the business, there is the banks and seed capital firms which are utilized at various stages and needs of a business. If a company is to be taken public, they of course can raise capital from an IPO, and when in operation, can offer corporate bonds as another means of raising capital.
