In the past, opening an offshore bank account was a difficult thing to do as one needed to travel long distance to deposit or withdraw funds. In the age of the online banking, virtually anyone can now open up an offshore account as long as it allows online banking services. Despite the shroud of mystique involving offshore banks, there really isn't much of a difference from a domestic bank when it comes to opening one up.
