A clearing service is one where a company will take the offsetting position of a client in each transaction they participate in. This means they are effectively the seller for every buyer and the buyer for every seller. What this doe is ensure that transactions are taken care of efficiently. The clearing service deals with confirming the transaction, settlement of the transaction and its delivery.
