An investment company is a business which exists to take the aggregate capital of a group of investors and invest it in financial securities. Primarily, this is done through mutual funds, whether they're a open-end fund or closed-end fund. Investment companies also include services for personal finances, including accounting, managing your investments, and tax management, among other financially related services.
