Investment brokers make their living by getting clients to invest money in various types of investments. They usually get paid a commission commensurate with the size and number of transactions that they effect. Investment brokers can sell many types of investments, such as stocks, bonds, futures, options, partnerships or real estate. Most types of investment brokers must be properly licensed in order to do business.
