Auto insurance is different from company to company and policy to policy, so it depends on whether you're simply meeting the requirements of the law by buying liability coverage, or must buy full coverage for that duration of a loan. From there it's a matter of what the policy offers and which company is selling it. The price ranges differ in a major way from company to company, even among discount auto insurance companies. Just be sure when you're checking prices that you're comparing apples with apples, and that the coverage you're getting for less price is indeed the coverage you're comparing prices with from another company. Each policy has the possibility of being a little different, so be sure you know what the insurance policy offers when compariing prices. As far as what a policy covers, again, every policy could be different, and it depends on how much you want to pay out of your own pocket is something happens. There are a variety of deductibles which will determine what is covered, among numerous other things. Basically, liability insurance covers the damage to the vehicle or person of a car you may have an accident with, while full coverage covers you and those you may have an accident with, depending on who is considered at fault. Insurance policies can cover medical expenses, damage to the car, and loss of wages, etc.
