A mortgage processor is a financial advisor who usually work for banks, brokers, and other companies that offer loans. The processor verifies materials for a mortgage application such as income levels, child support, and credit history. He runs a credit check on a borrower as well and forward all these to an underwriter to know if a borrower is a good candidate for the loan.
