A quant fund or a quantitative strategy fund is a mutual fund that realize on quantitative mathematics to create the returns. For example, a mutual fund that realize on statistical arbitrage to make money, would be considered a quant fund. These are funds that you inefficiencies in the markets between financial assets to create returns.
