Total permanent disability cover is a form of insurance intended to provide a consumer with lifelong income in the event that the consumer is physically or mentally disabled -- that is, the consumer is no longer able to work. There are many forms for this coverage, but generally it is part of life insurance packages. Definitions of permanent disability can vary from country to country.
