Wealth management most often refers to the money management of high net worth individuals' assets. This may include a range of asset management tasks such as portfolio construction and management (choosing a personal capital structure, or optimum mix of stocks, bonds and cash), assistance with philanthropic investments, real estate transactions, legal and probate issues, managing notable assets for long term appreciation and income, tax reduction efforts, and more. Wealth management tends to refer to the entire scope of financial services that a financial manager could provide to meet the needs of very wealthy clients.
