There is no question the top thing to look for in an investment property is location. It doesn't matter whether it's for a business location or a housing rental. Everything else fars fall behind this one essential ingredient to successfully investing in a piece of property. Even if you were to invest in something like a farm, location is increasingly becoming important because of the cost of fuel, which requires larger inputs to get your produce or products to market. From there, it's simply a matter of having the condition of the property analyzed to see what types of costs it would take to get it to where you want it.
