There are a couple of places that facilitate currency trading. There are numerous ECNs electronic communication networks that offer over the counter currency trading to investors. These can be found by searching for them on the internet. Additionally currency trading can be transacted in the futures markets. A future is the obligation to purchase a currency at some point in the future. Futures markets are regulated and they trade in specific contract sizes. A third place to trade currencies is through exchange traded funds (ETF). ETFs are funds that hold a specific notional amount of currency. ETFs trade like stocks on an exchange and are regulated instruments. As the value of a currency moves higher relative to another, the ETF will also move higher in highly correlated movements.
