Since both Visa and Mastercard are both widely accepted worldwide, it is difficult to find the difference in the number of locations they are being accepted worldwide. In fact, it is so rare to find one location or business that accept one but not the other. According to Business Travel Survey in 2009, Visa is being accepted by 30million merchants in more than 170 countries, while Mastercard is being accepted by 28million merchants in 210 countries. In terms of cash advances, Visa has 1.4 million ATMs that provide this service while Mastercard has about 1.5million.
