There are many reasons to raise capital for a business, but the two most important are for operating capital and expansion. Operating capital is raised to keep things going in slower times, while capital for expansion is acquired when opportunities for growth are set before a business, but requires capital to take advantage of it. It's best to have a credit line available in order to to move quickly at times of need like these.
