Livestock Meaning:
In commodity market terminology, livestock generally refers to animals that are raised for meat products such as hogs and cattle. Livestock also includes oxen, horses, sheep, goats, pigs, buffalo, mules and donkeys.

Livestock Example:
As part of an agricultural system, raising livestock is an expensive endeavor requiring time and energy, and hence resulting in high meat prices.
