In commodity market terminology, PVC refers to Polyvinyl Chloride, a polymer of vinyl chloride that can be made into a vinyl resin having a wide array of industrial uses. Polyvinyl Chloride is used in making wrapping plastic for food, as well in the manufacture of more rigid items like pipes, upholstery and fibers.
Polyvinyl Chloride or PVC futures trade in India on the National Commodities Exchange of India, as well as the Mumbai Multi-Commodities Exchange. PVC futures also trade on the Dalian Commodities Exchange of China.
