In commodity market terminology, Soybean Swaps refer to Soybean Calendar Swaps which are negotiated contracts between buyers and sellers based on Soybean futures contracts of different months. Soybeans are an oilseed legume originally from East Asia that has been used for centuries as a protein source both for humans and animals.

Soybean Calendar Swaps trade on the Chicago Board of Trade and the CME Group’s Globex electronic trading platform. Contracts are for 5,000 bushels of Soybeans and prices are quoted in U.S. Dollars with a minimum fluctuation of ¼ cent per bushel or $12.50 per contract.
