What is Travel Insurance?

There are two major classes of travel insurance: either the type of insurance an individual buys which pays in the event of death or an accident during the trip; or the type of insurance one buys when you book a trip in order to protect against a change of plans or the trip being cancelled. In both forms, the individual is transferring the risk of a travel problem to an insurance company.
