Coca-Cola Enterprises (NYSE: CCE) started in 1986 when the Coca-Cola Company spun it off in order for the operation to consolidate and better serve their former parent.
The company is the foundational bottler for the European and North American markets, and the largest bottler for Coca Cola products in the world.
Coca-Cola Enterprises manufactures, distributes and markets the various products in bottles. They also acquire other nonalcoholic beverages and distribute them across their network.
Important acquisitions include the Cen-Tex Coca-Cola Bottling Company, Coke New York, Coke in the Canadian territories, Coke Southwest and Herb Group. The company enjoys about 80 percent of the North American Coca Cola bottle and can market to close to 80 percent.
Coca-Cola Enterprises was listed on the New York Stock Exchange in 1986 when they were spun off from Coca Cola.
Company headquarters is in Atlanta, Georgia.
