There are a number of investments called notes, but by far the most well-known and invested in is a Treasury Note. A Treasury Note is different than a Treasury Bill or Treasury Bond in that it has a maturity of between one and ten years. It also has a fixed rate of interest, which of course the others have as well. A Treasury Bill has a shorter maturity date than a Treasury Note, while a Treasury Bond has a longer maturity date.
