A sector fund is a mutual fund that invests in stocks, bonds or other instruments in a certain sector. For example, Fidelity Select Natural Resources Portfolio is a mutual fund that invest primarily in companies that own or develop natural resources, or supply goods and services to such companies, normally investing at least 80% of assets in securities of companies principally engaged in these activities.
