Bond Circular

Bond Circular Meaning:
A standardized document that contains basic information about a new bond issue. It’s created by the bond underwriter and made available to prospective bondholders. Also known as an ‘offering circular.’

Bond Circular Example:
Specific information that must appear in a bond circular includes: the identity of the issuer; the amount of the issue; the coupon rate; the maturity date, and what the proceeds of the bond issue will be used for by the issuer.
