In commodity market terminology, LMEmini refers to smaller metals futures contracts offered by the London Metals Exchange. Specifically, they include contracts for Grade A Copper, Zinc of 99.995% minimum purity and Aluminum of 99.7% minimum purity.
LMEmini contracts are for cash settlement, meaning that no physical delivery takes place, and they are traded electronically through the LME Select system and over the telephone. Settlement prices are based on the Official Settlement Price of the full-sized LME metals contract. These mini contracts are half the size of normal LME metals contracts and are for five metric tons per contract. LMEmini contracts are quoted in U.S. Dollars.
