Blackberry Missed on their Forecast, Sales went Down

The sales of Blackberry phones went down which make Research in Motion, the makers of Blackberry missed their lowered forecast for 2011. From the net profit of $769 million in 2010, the net profit of RIM dropped to $695 million on May 28. In the month of April, the RIM was warned about the possible drop down of their profits due to the decline of the Blackberry phones' shipments. The shares in the firm dropped around 10%. The company also missed they targeted profit of $5.2 bn to $5.6bn as their predictions for March. This warning on their profits is because of the firm's investment on the development of their table-format Blackberry and the shift of their consumers to cheaper mobile phones.
